Posted a letter to Owen after I closed the shop. Had a horrible customer, Umbridge. She was my second year (?) Defense professor, not that we really learned anything in that class. I think I mostly revised for potions in that class. I don't think I can think about doxies or porlocks without feeling like I should be working on my essay on swelling solutions and deflating draughts.
Came straight home after leaving the post office and am still dreadfully lonely in this house. I will have to get out sometime soon. Maybe I'll go into Hogsmeade? The Three Broomsticks is back in business and there is also a bakery there. I wonder if the bakery is better than Madam Puddifoots?
I could always go to the village under the pretense of profession curiosity. Maybe see what Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop is like now. Last time I was in (seventh year) they were horribly rude.
Must also ask Milly about possibly getting another person to work part time. Maybe one or two afternoons? As it is, I'm at the shop ten to four Monday through Friday and at the shop noon to three on Saturdays. This bares consideration.
I've had my eye on a book at Flourish & Blotts next door and Mr. Flourish told me he'd put it aside for me until payday. Only one more week and Wizard's Rose: the War of the Roses from a Magical Perspective will be mine.
